A family walking home from Christmas Eve shopping had a terrifying near miss as a car mounted the pavement near a supermarket.
Oliver Clarke, 69, was walking back from Tesco with his son and two-year-old grandson when a car crashed at the junction of The Grove and Barwell Way.
The vehicle mounted the pavement and drove across the grass at the spot the Clarke family had been standing only ten seconds earlier.
