Fans of Olly Murs have been angered after the singer postponed his homecoming show in a bid to crack America.
The Witham singer was originally meant to play at Hylands Park, Chelmsford, on June 16, but the date has now been moved to September 2.
The show, which will also feature Brentwood’s Pixie Lott, has been postponed so that Murs can tour in the US alongside boyband One Direction.
Parents are annoyed that the concert will now take place the night before the start of the new school year.
Jacqui Loxley, 42, of Braintree, said: “I'm disgusted by Olly - fancy changing to a Sunday when most of your fans are children and they have to get up for school the next morning.”
