Braintree Town may bolster their striker options after new signing Jamie Guy was ruled out for a number of weeks with an ankle injury.
The former Colchester United striker is currently sidelined after breaking a bone in his ankle at Lowestoft.
And manager Rod Stringer has not ruled out the possibility of bringing another forward in as temporary cover.
He told the Times: “Jamie’s injury might press me into bringing another striker in.
“We might need to stay active in the market and see what’s out there, perhaps on a short-term loan.”
