Braintree Town manager Alan Devonshire said Iron striker Dan Holman may be a doubt for tomorrow’s Skrill Premier game against Tamworth at the Amlin Stadium.
Holman had to come off at half-time in the Iron’s 1-0 defeat at Cambridge United on Boxing Day and Devonshire said he may not be fit to face the Lambs.
The Iron boss said: Dan felt a spasm in his back during the first half at Cambridge so we felt we had to get him off.
“I think it will make him a doubt for Saturday, but we’ll have to have a look at him before the game.”
The Iron will be looking for a good result after their narrow defeat by Cambridge, but Devonshire is expecting a different test from the one they had at the Abbey Stadium on Boxing Day.
He added: “It will be a very different game and I expect them to be big and physical, but it depends on the weather.
“Hopefully we can get the game on and we’ll get a chance to bounce back.
“We have to be looking for three points from games like this, but it will be tough because they are a big side who will pose a physical challenge.”
