Notice of Confirmation of an Order
(Other than an Acquisition Extinguishment Order)
Highways Act 1980 - Section 119
Essex County Council Footpath 13 (Part), Finchingfield in the District of Braintree
Public Path Diversion Order 2011

On 7 February 2012 Essex County Council confirmed the above Order made under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980.

The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert a part length of public Footpath 13 in the Parish of Finchingfield in the District of Braintree as shown on the Order map contained in this Order which crosses the reservoir to an alternative route being 2 metres in width around the western and southern side of the reservoir in a southerly and easterly direction to the same point where it meets the unaffected part of Footpath 13.

A copy of the Order and the Order Map have been placed in and may be seen free of charge at Braintree District Council Offices at Causeway House, Bocking End, Braintree CM7 9HB and at the
Chelmsford Public Library, Market Road, Chelmsford during normal working hours. Copies of the Order and Order map are available
on request from the Chelmsford Library at a charge.

The diversion comes into force on 7 March when the old route shall be stopped up but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highway Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from 22 February 2012 make an application to the High Court.
