Essex County Council (Footpath No.18, Hatfield Peverel)

(Footpath No.18, Hatfield Peverel) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2012

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: to temporarily close Footpath No.18, Hatfield Peverel, in the District of Braintree, from its junction with New Road, south for a distance of approximately 30 metres and then east for approximately 70 metres.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 26 March 2012 for 6 months, weather permitting, or where appropriate signs are showing.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while development works are undertaken.

The alternative route will be via New Road — footpath between 57-55 New Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 26 March 2012 and may continue in force for 6 months, or until the works are finished, whichever is the earlier.

Notice is hereby given that Essex County Council has granted the above planning application.

The Environmental Information accompanying the application has been taken into account, in reaching this decision.

Copies of the following are available for public inspection at Uttlesford District Council, Council Offices, London Road, Saffron Walden, CM11 4ER. From 15 March 2012 period until 05 April 2012.

1) Planning Application;
2) Environmental Impact Assessment;
3) Development and Regulation Committee Report - which includes a description, where necessary, of the mitigating measures i.e. the main measures to avoid, reduce and if possible offset the major adverse effects;
4) Decision Notice - including the content of the decision and any conditions, main reasons and considerations on which the decision is based, including relevant details of policies and proposals in the relevant Development Plan(s);
5) Regulation 24 Statement.

The validity of the Council's decision can be challenged by application to the Courts for Judicial Review.
