Witham's MP has launched a campaign calling for improved healthcare facilities.

Priti Patel fears the town is ill-equipped to deal with an expected boom in its population.

The Maltings Lane estate is still growing and more than 1,000 homes are also planned elsewhere between now and 2026 as part of Braintree Council’s Local Development Framework (LDF), which sets out where the district should be developed.

Ms Patel's Putting Witham’s Patients First campaign was launched on Monday.
