Witham MP Priti Patel celebrated the wine harvest by cutting grapes at the West Street Vineyard in Coggeshall.
The vineyard, which was bought by Jane and Stephen Mohan in 2009, has already produced award winning English wines.
Priti, who has been a long term supporter of the vineyard, will also discussed the red tape and regulations that should be cut to help the English wine industry flourish.
Priti said: “The West Street Vineyard is a tremendous local success story and I congratulate the Mohan family for their entrepreneurial spirit and for producing some great wines.
"They have put wine-making in Essex on the map and I wish them well with this year’s harvest.”
