A FATHER has been found alive and well after going missing for a week.
Scott Walker, 43, who was raised in Braintree, failed to arrive at work after leaving his home in Langley Mill, Derbyshire on November 7.
Scott’s parents, Lorraine and Alf Walker, of George Road, Braintree, were left “dumbfounded” when their son disappeared and said that his disappearance was very “out of character.”
Thankfully, the father of two, who went to St Michael’s Primary School in Braintree and the Colchester Royal Grammar School, walked into a police station in Holborn after being missing for seven days.
Mrs Walker, 63, said: “It’s a huge weight off our minds to say the least. Our main concern was that he was ok, which he is.
“The police put the appeal around and there was a Facebook page which was shared about from the north of Scotland down to the south of England which helped.
“We’d just like to say thank you to all of our family and friends for all their support because everyone has been really wonderful.”
Mr Walker is now back at home in Derbyshire with his partner Claire Castledine, with who has a two-year-old son, Alex.
