An angry commuter is calling for CCTV at a station bike shed after having a third cycle stolen in two years.
Nick Tait, 41, put two padlocks on his £800 Diamondback mountain bike when he left in the shed at Braintree railway station at about 5.30am last Wednesday.
But by the time the self-employed roofer, who commutes into London every day, returned at 6.30pm the bike had gone.
Mr Tait claims it is the third bike he has had stolen in just two years, and the fifth since he started commuting from the station 15 years ago.
“I’m really starting to get a bit angry now because I can’t see why they can’t put CCTV up there,” he said.
