The 123 poppies which were knitted by yarnbombers for this year’s remembrance parade are to be stored for next year.
The poppies, one for each name on Witham’s war memorial, appeared in the memorial garden overnight before the remembrance parade on November 10.
Witham Royal British Legion chairman Andy Black said they will taken down at the end of this week and safely stored ready for next year.
He said it was a lovely surprise and he wanted to ensure they were not ruined by the weather.
