A school has issued a warning to parents after two men were reported to have followed one of its pupils on her way to school.
Notley High School and Braintree Sixth Form in Notley Road, Braintree sent an email to parents after being told that a Year Seven pupil was made to feel “very uneasy,” while walking to the school on Friday morning.
The email from the school, which was sent to parents the same day, said: “We have received a report that a Y7 girl was made to feel very uneasy whilst walking to school this morning when two suspicious males came out of White Court woods.
“They were in their late 30s/early forties and got into a white transit van after walking along near her until they got to the van.
“This has been reported to the local police.”
Parents are advised to contact Essex Police if they have any concerns.
However, a police spokesman said they had no record of the incident having been reported.
