An author is holding a book signing of her first two novels this Saturday.
Alison Kershaw, who lives in Braintree, has just published her first two novels, Didikai Witch and its follow-up Demon Lupus in paperback and ebook and will be holding a book signing on Saturday at Kast Mystical, Blake House Craft Centre, Braintree.
The Beyond Series novels were inspired by author of Interview with a Vampire, by Anne Rice, and are based in Lancashire and Essex.
Miss Kershaw, said: “The supernatural world by its very nature is as far removed from reality as possible and forms the perfect way to escape from the daily routine.
“This is why books such as Harry Potter, Twilight and Interview with a Vampire are so popular.
“This genre is extremely popular at the moment, and I feel the strong attraction with this book is people will recognize many of the places the story is set in.
“Why shouldn’t Lancashire and Essex form the backdrop of a book. Our country has a fascinating history and many of its own ghost stories.”
