A restaurant manager has complained of a staff shortage - after immigration officials raided his eatery.
Three men are set to be deported after a raid at Plum Valley in Newland Street, Witham.
The restaurant now faces a potential fine of £30,000 unless it can prove the workers were here legally.
Manager Abdul Mohith said: “The children who are born and brought up in this country don’t go into the catering industry because it’s unsociable hours.
“There’s a real shortage of staff.”
