Fed up residents are calling for action to prevent commuters clogging their road up all day long.
Hannah Lamb has suggested no parking between 11am-midday in Forest Road, Witham, to prevent dozens of commuters treating the street like a free car park.
Administrator Miss Lamb, 26, said parking problems became worse after double yellow lines were painted down one side of nearby Cypress Road about five years ago.
A North Essex Parking Partnership spokesman said: “Residents wanting parking or waiting restrictions to be considered should submit an application to the NEPP, demonstrating local support, including from the local ward councillor."
