A baby had a lucky escape after the car it was travelling in overturned.
Police were called at 1.15pm to Coggeshall Road where a red Peugeot which had overturned near the A1124, leaving the road blocked in both directions.
An Essex Police spokesman said: "It was a single vehicle involved.
"We called the ambulance to check the baby, who had no injuries.
"The only injury was a cut to the man's hand."
An East of England Ambulance spokesman said: "We sent an ambulance, an ambulance officer, a rapid response vehicle and Essex Air Ambulance.
"Having assessing three people, it was decided there was no need to take them to hospital."
The car has now been recovered.
