A racing fan has just published a book of anecdotes and memorabilia looking at the history of motor racing.
Reg May, 66, of Castle Meadow, Sible Hedingham has collected together accounts of iconic races, drivers and circuits from 1935 to 2011 and his book, Racing with Heroes, was published at the end of last month.
He said: “The book contains a collection of stories from races that I have seen or heard or read about so I put them into my own words.
“It’s a fan's memories, experiences, memorabilia and personal views on what has, in recent years, become a very popular sport.
“It started life from jottings over a period of years, when it was suggested that I get it published.
“I have my own library at home of my own jottings and memorabilia and books on the subject and presents I have had as people know that I’m a fan and I compiled the book from those.
Mr May’s book is now available online and from most book stores.
