A man who was left fighting for his life after crashing into a building has pulled through.

Jay Hazel, 25, suffered potentially life-threatening injuries and was left in a critical condition when he crashed his purple Ford KA just after 12.30pm in Spa Road on November 27.

He was rushed to the London Whitechapel Hospital by ambulance but is recovering in hospital.

An Essex Police spokesman said: “The driver suffered a broken leg.

“Investigations are continuing and any witnesses or anybody with information is urged to contact the officer on the case PC Simon French on 101.”
