A politician is calling on the Government to do more to help families whose loved ones are killed abroad.
Witham MP Priti Patel has been asking the Foreign Office to help with travel arrangements and provide consular support.
Silver End resident Marie Heath lost her job after raising £7,500 to fly to Germany for the trial of nightclub bouncers charged with killing her son Lee.
Ms Patel said: “Families whose relatives have been murdered abroad have struggled to receive the support and services they deserve and a number of my constituents have been affected in these tragic circumstances."
