IT might be one of the most unpredictable General Elections in recent memory but voters in Braintree are guaranteed one thing on May 8 - a new Member of Parliament.
The Tory incumbent Brooks Newmark, who first took the seat in 2005, is stepping down after well-publicised personal problems.
In the videos below the candidates tell us why they think you should vote for them on May 7.
The candidates are:
- Matthew Klesel (Liberal Democrat)
- James Cleverly (Conservative)
- Malcolm Fincken (Labour)
- Richard Bingley (Ukip)
- Paul Jeater (Green)
- Toby Pereira (Independent)
