Jobseekers and youngsters are being encouraged to get some inspiration at an apprenticeship fair.
The fourth annual Get Witham Working Apprenticeship Fair, organised by Witham MP Priti Patel, is free to attend and will host 35 businesses looking to take on new talent - making it the biggest yet.
Ms Patel, who will be at the fair, said: “With over 30 local, regional and national employers confirmed for the Witham Apprenticeships Fair so far, the final list of participating businesses and organisations is set to be at full capacity.
“I hope to see all local young people and jobseekers take advantage of this beneficial opportunity to speak directly to these employers looking to offer them some fantastic opportunities.
“I want to thank all the businesses and organisations who have pledged their support to my campaign to get Witham working and would encourage any other local businesses or organisations not yet involved to get in touch.”
Launched by Priti in 2012 the ‘Get Witham Working’ campaign aimed to reduce unemployment in the Witham constituency.
Over the past three years unemployment has more than halved and is currently below average for the region.
The event is at New Rickstones Academy, in Conrad Road, Witham, on November 27 from 10am.
