NEW road signs are due to be installed in an effort to improve safety at a notorious roundabout.
Highways England will begin five nights of work at the Galleys Corner roundabout in Braintree from December 7.
The work will include new lane destination signs to better inform road users of the new road layout and the repairing and replacement of damaged signs.
Work will take place between 9pm and 6am.
Witham MP Priti Patel, who lobbied the agency to make improvements, said: “Highways England have listened to the concerns raised by my constituents and are taking action to improve safety at Galleys Corner.
“The government has already invested in improvements at this junction and the new signs should complement these measures.”
