UNEMPLOYMENT levels continue to fall in Witham.
Figures released today show that there were 482 claimants in January 2016, which is 235 less than last year.
The number of claimants aged 18 to 24 has also fallen to 80, which is 95 less than last year.
Nationally, the numbers of people in employment continue to break records and now total 31.42 million, which is an employment rate of 74.1 per cent.
Average weekly wages have also risen by two per cent.
MP for Witham, Priti Patel said: “The continuing fall in unemployment in Witham is welcome as more local people are finding employment and have the security of a regular pay packet."
