PRITI Patel has backed the Government's new campaign to inspire young people to consider apprenticeships.
The Witham MP said the Get In Go Far campaign will showcase the benefits of apprenticeships as a credible route to work.
Ms Patel said: "In Witham the rate of apprenticeship starts created is already twice the level under the last Labour Government and will continue to grow with campaigns like these highlighting how people can earn and learn.
“This campaign follows the Government’s abolition of employer National Insurance contributions for apprentices under 25s and extension of the Apprenticeship Grant for Employers to the end of 2016/17, providing funding of £1500 to small businesses for their first five apprentices aged 16-24. "Taken altogether it just proves that there has never been a better time to employ an apprentice or to start one.”
