An actress, author and campaigner launched her new book at two Braintree care homes.
Amanda Waring, decided to launch The Carer's Bible during National Carer's Week at The New Deanery and St Mary's Court care homes - both of which are run by Sonnet Care Homes.
Staff from the homes worked with the author to put together the book, working around an ethos of "kindness, comfort and respect".
Julia Clinton, chief executive of Sonnet Care Homes, said: "We have a long-standing relationship with Amanda who has worked tirelessly to raise the profile of dignified care and responding to the individual needs of those requiring care.
“We are excited to have hosted the launch of this valuable book, which provides so much guidance and reassurance for carers.
"There is a hidden army of carers in the UK, doing their best to support a loved one, and the book recognises their needs and signposts where they can find help and support.”
Chairman of Braintree Council Vanessa Santomauro attended the book launch on Tuesday, June 12.
