TWO workmates are set to drive hundreds of miles across Europe in fancy dress in a bid to raise cash for three charities.
Steve Parnell and Mel Windard, of Witham civil engineering firm Scott Parnell, will take part in the four-day Pavestone Rally which will see them travel from Reims, in France, to Lake Como, in Italy.
The duo will wear fancy dress throughout their trip in an old banger, which will see them raise cash for the Rainy Day Trust, Variety and the Teenage Cancer Trust.
Steve said: “This will be our second entry into the Pavestone Rally, which is always fun and full of laughs.
“We get more adventurous with our outfits at each event and this year is no exception.
“I’m sure we’ll raise a few eyebrows when we reveal our choice at the starting line.”
The duo set off on September 5, travelling through France, Germany and Austria before finishing in Italy.
