A village surgery has been ranked as the best GP surgery in the Braintree district, according to new patient survey data.
All of the GPs overseen by the Mid Essex Clinical Commissioning Group have been ranked in the 2020 NHS patient survey.
The survey data is collated by asking patients their views on their experiences at the surgeries.
Which are the best rated surgeries in the area?
Coggeshall Surgery is rated best for overall experience of patients in the 2020 NHS patient survey.
Of those who responded, 99 per cent registered at the surgery said their experience was good.
Mount Chambers was the highest rated GP surgery in Braintree, with 73 per cent of respondents saying the service was good.
The highest rated surgery in Witham meanwhile was the Collingwood Surgery which got 80 per cent.
What is the average?
The average score across the surgeries in the Mid Essex Clinical Commissioning Group was 76 per cent.
This is below the national average, where 82 per cent of respondents to the survey ranked the overall experience at their surgery as good.
What about the worst in Braintree district?
At the other end of the scale, Church Lane surgery in Bocking was bottom of the list for overall experience.
Out of those who answered the survey, only 44 per cent said their experience at the surgery was good.
Kelvedon and Feering Medical Centre was second from bottom with 49 per cent.
What has the Mid Essex CCG said?
“Our priority is ensuring patients receive high quality care, and one indicator of this is patient experience.
"We are therefore pleased to see nearly half the GP practices in mid Essex have improved their satisfaction scores from last year, and there have been some particularly good results for individual practices in Braintree District, Chelmsford City and Maldon District, though we appreciate the combined result is slightly below the national average.
“There is always more we can collectively do to make improvements, and we will continue to support our local practices.

"A number of surgeries have merged, giving them a good opportunity to share best practice, and as part of the response to Covid-19 there are now many more convenient and easy ways for patients to access GP-led services.
"It’s hoped these things will impact positively on patient experience and satisfaction for mid Essex communities.”
