A COUNCIL has reported a surge in vandalism to dog waste bins.
One bin on the River Walk in Witham has needed to be replaced three times in just the past six months due to the vandalism.
The most recent incident resulted in fire damage to the bin and yet another replacement.
Witham Town Council said each new bin costs approximately £100 and is dealt with swiftly by the Council's Operations Team so as not to distract from the much-loved area.
