FIREFIGHTERS helped save 30 fish by aerating a pond in Great Dunmow.
A crew was called to Star Lane at about 12pm on Saturday by the Environment Agency.
About 35 fish had already died in the pond due to the low dissolved oxygen levels.
Firefighters used main jets to aerate the pond and left the scene in the care of the Environment Agency.
