Two men have been arrested after a fatal crash in Cressing overnight.
Essex Police were called to reports a Blue Ford Fiesta had left Witham Road and hit a tree at around 12.20am today (Saturday September 25).
Sadly, a man in his 20s was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two men were arrested as a result on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and drink driving, and drug driving.
Both are currently in custody.
Essex Police now need anyone who may have seen how the vehicle was being driven, or witnessed/has footage of the moments leading up to the collision to come forward.

A spokesman from the force, said: If you have any information you can submit a report online at https://www.essex.police.uk or use the 'Live Chat' button to speak to an online operator between 7am-11pm.
"Please quote incident 17 of 25 September.
