A WITHAM salon is collecting shoeboxes in a bid to keep children around the world smiling this Christmas.
Cabello Hair and Beauty, which is based in Newland Street, has launched a charitable appeal to support the Samaritans Purse charity.
Throughout November, Cabello will be collecting shoe boxes filled with gifts.
The appeal will see the gifts sent to children around the world who may not get a present this Christmas.
The salon is a collection point for Operation Christmas Child.
To donate, you can visit the salon and pick up a label to put on your box.
You can then choose an age and gender to buy for and decorate your shoebox.
Owner Kathryn Berale said: “We select a charitable cause every year to support at Christmas.
“Following a tough two years we wanted to collect gift boxes this year, to let children around the world know they have not been forgotten.
“We will be working alongside Rickstones Evangelical Church to maximise the Witham total and get even more children smiling.
“The team are excited to start collecting along with packing our own boxes.”
Supporters need to return their boxes to Cabello by Monday, November 22.
