A PSYCHOTHERAPIST who regularly does UK travel videos has recently visited Braintree.
Adam Day, 45, is a YouTube travel vlogger, heading across the country to show off towns for their history, heritage and local community.
He said: “It started originally when we all got stuck in lockdown, as a psychotherapist I took a lot of calls online due to mental health struggles.
“I was looking for places to go and things to do in the UK since we cannot travel abroad.
“I also wanted to change people’s views towards the UK, this wasn’t what I knew it as.”
Adam has completed 12 videos so far, with his latest visit to Bishop’s Stortford coming soon.
He recently visited and filmed one in Braintree, with Adam saying how much he loved the town.
He said: “I really enjoyed Braintree, especially The Flitch Way.
“I am a keen walker; I love hiking and love the romanticism of old railway walks.
“If I can find one, I have to walk it, there is so much history, old platforms, the remnants of tracks, it gets my mind racing.”

Adam also loved visiting the Braintree town hall and the Saturday market, where he learned about various market stall vendors.
Throughout the video, he also teaches viewers about the history of the town and some of its landmarks.
He said how the responses so far have been very good and how he is excited to keep making his travel videos.
“People have loved them, as someone that loves feedback it has been amazing.
“I want to travel all over the UK, I want to show people, their stories and the heart of towns that sometimes go unnoticed.”
Adam has also visited Witham and Finchingfield and plans to continue on to other Essex locations.
