A ROAD in Rivenhall is blocked and some homes are experiencing power cuts after a lorry has brought down some power cables.
Braxted Road is blocked in both directions after the incident.
Google Maps shows traffic is slow moving.
UK Power Networks has also reported a power cut in parts of Witham, Rivenhall, Wickham Bishops and Cressing.
The power cut was reported at 1.43pm.
Reporting the power cut, a spokesman for UK Power Networks said: "We’re sorry for any disruption this may have caused you.
"We didn’t know in advance there would be a power cut but now that we know, our teams will do everything they can to get your power back quickly."
Engineers are on site carrying out investigations into the fault.
Once they have completed their assessment, they will carry out repairs.
