MOTORISTS in Braintree driving home for Christmas or popping out for last-minute shopping will have three road closures to watch out for this week.
But all listed roadworks are only expected to cause slight delays of under 10 minutes.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that four closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:
• A12, from 8am December 17 to 6am December 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A12 northbound and southbound, between, junction 20b and junction 21.
Diversion route for emergency local authority works on behalf of TBF traffic/ Anglian Water.
• A120, from 8pm November 29 2021 to 6am January 22 2022, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A120 eastbound and westbound, Stanstead to Braintree - Lane closure for drainage on behalf of H.W Martin.
• A12, from 8pm October 18 2021 to 6am January 25 2022, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A120 eastbound and westbound, Marks Tey Interchange to Colne Road, Coggeshall, two-Way signals for communications on behalf of Highways England.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
