COVID worries continue to affect events as an artistry class has now been cancelled.
Acclaimed artist Owen Lennox was going to be at the Dunmow Art Group to teach portrait paintings in oils.
After studying art and history and being the head of art in several London schools, he established himself as a painter, specialising in portraits in oils.
Now based in Braintree, Owen’s work has included some notable portraits of several sporting celebrities, including Sir Steve Redgrave, Sir Geoff Hurst and Joe Calzaghe.
He was due to hold six weekly workshops starting on January 10, meeting aspiring artists at Foakes Hall in the town.
However, it has since been announced that these have now been cancelled due to covid concerns.
Covid cases are consistently rising throughout the Uttlesford district, as is the case across Essex.
The county has some of the highest infection rates across the country, which is leading many events to be disrupted, postponed, or cancelled.
A spokesperson for the Art Group said: “The decision to cancel the portrait workshops in January with artist Owen Lennox was made due to an increase in Covid cases before Christmas.
“We hope to reschedule when circumstances allow.”
