WITHAM MP Priti Patel visited an important community hub as it has launched its new fortnightly surgery event.
The Witham Hub launched its new Community Beat Surgery on January 8.
The surgery is an two hour long service which allows members of the community to come in and talk to officers.
It is the third event under the new format of community police meet-ups, continuing the old ‘coffee with cops’ events the Hub used to run before the pandemic.

Witham MP Priti Patel paid a visit to the Hub, sitting down with hosts of the session, Special Constables Simon Jesse, and Carrie-Anne Wintin.
Ms Patel too time to chat to the pair about their community policing role, and the issues that come up for them in the course of their work.

She said: “I have met Simon before, and it was a pleasure to see him again, Carrie-Anne is very new to the job, and it was good to talk to her.
“Specials play an important role in helping to police our community and often have a close working relationship with local people and organisations. They have my full support.”
Special Constable Simon Jesse added: “I was pleased to catch-up with Priti again and talk her through the current situation. Her interest in local policing is very much appreciated.”
The Witham Hub Community Beat Surgery is every fortnight, on Saturday at the Hub from 11am to 1pm.
