A BIG-HEARTED restaurant is set to host a tasty fundraiser in a bid to raise funds for a little girl who hopes to receive specialist treatment for a rare form of cancer.
Florentina Burton was just about to turn four years old when she was diagnosed with cancer shortly before her birthday last year.
Doctors told the Burton family Florentina had high-risk neuroblastoma, a rare and aggressive childhood cancer which has a 50 to 60 per cent chance of long-term survival.
Since her diagnosis, Florentina has undergone operations and chemotherapy.
However, as the disease has a high chance of reoccurring, Florentina’s family are hoping to get their daughter further treatment in America.
Florentina would fly to New York to get the bivalent vaccine, the only paediatric tumour vaccine in existence. This would maximum the survival rate in the event of a relapse.
However, the family need £250,000 in order to fly to America and get the vaccine. As a result, they have been fundraising for months and have so far raised a whopping £178,103 at the time of writing.

Now a restaurant is hoping to do its bit to help Florentina.
Caesars at the Dolphin is a restaurant located off the A120 near Stisted and Braintree. The restaurant has said it will be holding a five-course tasting event in a bid to raise funds.
Coming on Thursday, March 3, residents are invited to attend with tickets costing £60 per person.
Caesars were made aware of Florentina’s fundraiser by the little girl’s neighbour, Jenna Little - a regular at the restaurant.
Caesars said: “Thanks to Jenna, now together we can do something for Florentina. Jenna contacted us on our Facebook page.
“As a we are a family owned restaurant and we know how valuable community support is when we saw that, of course we wanted to get involved and to do whatever we can to help Florentina to get to New York.
“We don’t have a target on how much to raise, we are just hoping that people will get involved and raise as much as possible.
“So far, since we start promoting this event for Florentina we have had a great response.
“On the night our visitors can enjoy a five-course tasting menu, with great atmosphere and attentive customer service.
“Part of the sales will go in Florentina’s account and we will provide a link where they can donate directly to her account too.”
