A BEER festival for ale lovers is starting today.
The annual Chappel Winter Beer Festival is back for 2022 at the East Anglian Railway Museum.
Running for 11 years, the three day event is the ‘younger sister’ to the main Chappel Beer Festival in September, which has been running for almost four decades.
The event is co-hosted by the East Anglian Railway Museum and the Campaign for Real Ale and has been a staple for many beer buffs for years.
On the day there will be about 60 beers and a range of cider and perry at the winter event, along with food on offer too.

A third day was added this year due to popularity, and for Covid safety.
Event organiser Brendan Sothcott said: “This year we have decided to add a third day, on Thursday, to allow for the same number of people spread over more days to reduce numbers.”
The three day event runs from today until Saturday.
Each day tickets will be sold in two batches, with the first valid for entry from 11am to 5.30pm and the second batch from 5.30pm to 11pm.
There are limited tickets remaining that can be purchased from chappelbeerfestival.org.uk/winter.
