A MAN has been charged after a string of burglaries.
The charge comes in connection with a string of 34 business-related burglaries across towns and villages in Essex.
The burglaries happened in Braintree, Earls Colne, Cressing, Sible Hedingham, Halstead, Colchester, Harwich and also Suffolk.
Several businesses were targeted across a small period of time, with break-ins into shops often occurring and and on some occasions money being stolen.
Many owners began being concerned, however police at the time did not treat the incidents as linked.
Essex Police set out an earlier appeal on February 24, looking for information following multiple burglaries in businesses in Braintree and Halstead.

A 24-year-old man has subsequently been arrested in Harwich on Monday, March 7, and appeared before Colchester Magistrates Court yesterday, March 9.
He was charged with 29 burglaries and four attempted burglaries.
The man has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Chelmsford Crown Court on April 6.
Inspector Mirrington-French of Braintree Community policing team said: "This has been a extensive investigation spanning three policing districts and two counties.
"I'd like to thank the patient and support of the business owners and the dedication of my officers."
