A PUB has finally reopened following a whopping £400k investment and being brought under new management.
The Angel, which is based in Kelvedon, is now back open for business after it received the hefty investment by independent pub operators Punch Pubs & Co.
The company runs around 1,300 pubs across the UK.
The Angel is also under new management with management partners Laura Smith and Rogan Wickham taking the helm.
Laura who grew up locally is excited to share the results of the major refresh at The Angel, that is now transformed into a rustic countryside pub, with both Elizabethan with contemporary charm.
The pub says the reopening puts Kelvedon in great stead for Spring with it being a place where locals can relax and take in the best the countryside has to offer.
The pub also now offers a dining experience.
The kitchen is supplied by ingredients from the Queens’s butcher Aubrey Allen, which sees British classics rub shoulders with modern bistro food, as well as plenty of small meals for nibbling on with drinks.
Management Partner Laura, said: "I’m so excited to welcome guests to The Angel, welcoming people in and seeing them leaving happy has always been my favourite part of running a pub and The Angel is not going to disappoint – every aspect of it has been finished beautifully.
"I’m particularly delighted with the menu and cannot wait for the beautiful new garden to be enjoyed as we head into Spring.”
Senior Operations Manager Sarah Edmunds added: “We are so proud to be reopening The Angel and unveiling its beautiful new look.
"It’s a magnificent country pub, and this investment has given it the new lease of life it needed.
"Not only this, but our new Management Partner Laura is the perfect person to ensure its success.”
