A SCOUTING group has continued its year of events and trips as it made a 300 mile trip across the UK.
The Silver End Scouts travelled the distance as they took part in a variety of activities.
Even though Silver End Scouts have been able to do a few one-night, weekends and long weekend camps in the past year, this summer they returned to offering a full week of adventure for the girls and boys of the Scout Troop.
In their latest trip, they travelled to north Wales staying at a Scout Lodge not far from Mount Snowdon.
During the week they took part in various activities that challenged the young people to overcome fears, push themselves outside their comfort zone, try new activities and work as a team.
Some of the highlights were gorge scrambling in the Afon Gorge, the underground trampoline nets and RIB Ride on the Menial Straight.
During their stay they also visited the National Slate Museum, to find out about the industrial past of the area and had a guided tour of Caernarfon Castle.
On one of the journeys back to their accommodation they also passed the town with the longest name, so had to stop for a photo opportunity - even if they couldn't pronounce it.

It is open to girls and boys aged ten to 14.
