PARAMEDICS are at the scene of a collision involving a vehicle and a child.
Officers from Essex Police are also in attendance at the incident in Hedingham Road, Halstead this afternoon.
It is understood the child has suffered minor injuries, but this is yet to be officially confirmed.

An eyewitness has stated multiple police cars and an ambulance remain at the scene, near to Halstead's Dog Inn.
A police spokeswoman said: "We were called by ambulance colleagues to Hedingham Road, Halstead, at 3.45pm to reports of a collision involving a vehicle and child.
"We are on scene with ambulance colleagues."
The incident is ongoing and the ambulance service has been contacted for comment.
