FIVE people have been charged in connection with an investigation into the supply of Class A drugs in Braintree and Chelmsford.

As part of the investigation, on August 26, a man was arrested in Chelmsford and a number of items were recovered, including a phone. 

During a subsequent search of a property, officers located a quantity of what was believed to be Class A drugs and cash. 

A second man linked to that property was also arrested. 

Daniel Brehum, 21, of Noakes Avenue, Chelmsford, and Daniel Ngadwoamye, 20, of Burghley Way, Chelmsford, have both been charged with possession with intent to supply Class A drugs. 

They appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on August 27.

Ngadwoamye was released on court bail to appear at Chelmsford Crown Court on September 26. Brehum was remanded into custody to appear on the same date. 

On September 1, officers executed three warrants in London.

During the operation, a quantity of what were believed to be Class A drugs were seized alongside a number of other items. 

As part of that investigation Mahalel McKay, 25, of Money Lane, West Drayton, James Mualaba, 24, of Tomlins Orchard, Barking, and Nelson Kabuika, 25, of Eagle Way, Great Warley, were charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs. 

They appeared in Colchester Magistrates’ Court on Friday, September 2. They will appear at Chelmsford Crown Court on September 30.
