Two people were arrested following incidents across the Braintree district.
Essex Police’s local policing team in Braintree arrested two people at the weekend.
A spokesman said: “Our early turn local policing team has been busy progressing ongoing investigations, taking multiple reports of domestic related incidents, gathering intelligence, progressing cases to CPS, attending emergency incidents and dealing with two people in custody who were arrested on Saturday night and early hours of Sunday morning.
“One man has been charged after being found in possession of a large amount of cannabis after a proactive stop search from officers in Halstead.
“Another male who was arrested early hours this morning has also been charged with a public order offence and criminal damage."
The force said damage had been caused to a police car.
Both men are set to appear in court later this month.
