A DEVELOPER has released the first properties for sale at its New Gimson Place development in Witham and opened a new on-site showhome.

A sale office was opened at the site, off River View, on September 3 with the launched event attended by a host of prospective purchasers.

Visitors were also invited into the new Silversmith showhome.

The New Gimson Place will comprise 78 homes across an eight-acre site close to the centre of Witham.

There will be a mix of 55 two, three and four-bedroom houses for private sale, alongside 23 affordable homes available for local people through shared ownership or low-cost rent.

Sales director of Bellway Essex Jenny Walker said: “There was a lot of anticipation surrounding the launch event at New Gimson Place and it was attended by a good number of prospective buyers.

“The opening is the culmination of an incredible amount of hard work from the whole team at Bellway Essex, from our land, planning and technical staff through to sales, marketing and construction.

“New Gimson Place also forms another piece of the jigsaw for us in Witham, where we’ve delivered hundreds of new homes over the past few years to help meet the local housing need and unlock the potential of land which can be used to create new residential communities.

“Given the high demand for new properties in Witham and the range of two, three and four-bedroom houses in a selection of styles that we’re providing at New Gimson Place, we are expecting these new homes to be snapped up quickly.”

The first properties at New Gimson Place are expected to be completed and ready for their new owners to move into early next year.
