A SUMMER shopping outlet has been transformed into a cosy winter store as the colder seasons are ushered in.

Braintree Village has announced the transformation of its multi-seasonal store.

The village’s Havaianas store became Happy Socks on Friday.

The store, located near Nike on the centre’s South Mall, replaces the seasonal Havaianas store which began selling the brand's range of flip-flops, sandals and slippers in April this year.

Founded in 2008, Swedish company Happy Socks has become a destination for sustainable, fashionable socks. 

The new store has a selection of Swedish hosiery designs inspired by everything from art and fashion to pop culture and food favourites. 

To celebrate its official opening, customers will be treated to an in-store offer of three pairs of socks for £20, for a limited time only.

Josef O’Sullivan, centre director of Braintree Village, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Happy Socks for the festive season following the first stint of our multi-seasonal store with Havaianas.

“In the run-up to Christmas, this new offering is the perfect addition to our retail line-up, providing guests with a range of festive designs which will make the perfect present.”
