A LOYAL worker has celebrated two decades of service at a care home.
Saleena Varghese has hit 20 years of working as part of the team at the Hatfield Peverel Bupa Care Home.
To celebrate the long-standing member of staff and to recognise her impressive commitment to helping others, the team presented Saleena with a bouquet of her favourite roses and other gifts, including chocolates.
Born in India, Saleena, who celebrated her 60th birthday this year, came to England in 2001 and joined Bupa as a nurse.
Now a senior care assistant at the home, Saleena is loved by residents and staff alike for her caring and empathetic nature.
Outside work, Saleena loves spending time with her family, including cooking delicious meals for her children and grandchildren.
Saleena said: “I enjoy looking after the residents and making sure they are well cared for.
“I find it really rewarding when I can see what a positive impact the team and I can make on the residents’ time here at the home.
“I would say my proudest achievement has been becoming a team leader and winning the Personal Best Award awarded by Bupa.
“It’s been lovely to have my 20 years recognised by the team and I look forward to making more happy memories in years to come.”
Home manager Carol Walker added: “We are so grateful for Saleena’s incredible years of service and wanted to show her how much we value all her kindness and hard work.
“She really is an inspiration to us all and epitomises the kindness that drives the team at Hatfield Peverel.”
