BUSINESS owners are being invited to take their wares to Braintree town centre.
Braintree Council is offering pop-up stalls at its monthly Braintree street market to help start-ups bring their products to a new audience.
The small market stalls are available to hire, with starting rates of just £11 per event.
The council say it means crafters, home bakers and new sellers can test the market, see how their products sell and manage their price points without having to invest in a gazebo.
The owner of Jule’s Jewels started her business from home during Covid as a way of boosting her income.
She sells bags, purses, gifts and seasonal decorations.
She said: "I started selling on Facebook. I would really like a shop but I cannot afford that.
"These are really affordable, I only pay £11. I don't have a high turnover or profit margin so this is perfect."
She added: "I like coming out and meeting people and if I sell then it is a bonus."
Tom Cunningham, Braintree Council boss for economic growth, said: “We are proud to support small and burgeoning businesses within Braintree district and would welcome anyone who has a new venture to join us at Braintree Street Market.
“The pop-ups give people a chance to meet their buyers and see what products are popular while also getting feedback on pricing and future ideas.”
