A NIGHT of laughter returned to a town theatre to huge success.
The Bocking Arts Theatre hosted its Braintree Comedy Club once again, with organiser and host James Beatty saying it was one of their best-ever shows.
He said: “It was really good. All the acts did brilliant, they all enjoyed the Braintree crowd, and all want to come back.
“The feedback was brilliant, and it felt like it was exactly what we needed here in Braintree, I got comments from people who were really appreciative, saying it helped them after a tough week and things like that, which was nice to hear.”
The show featured top comedians such as Jeff Innocent, Phil Nichol as well as up-and-coming talent like Harry Pettitt.
Harry, from Colchester, said: “Genuinely it was the best show I’ve ever been a part of.
“Jeff and Phil are two of the best comedians in the country and I've been a fan of both of them for years so to be on the same bill as them was class.
“It was packed out in there and I don't normally comment but it was one of the best crowds I've ever played in front of.
“It was amazing to be involved in a night like that.”
The next comedy club dates have already been set for December 3 and 8.
