NURSERY pupils spread some Christmas cheer by singing carols and hand-delivering Christmas cards to Eastlight Community Homes residents.

Residents at Black Notley-based Oxley House, a housing for older people scheme for residents aged 55 and over, were treated to a morning of fun-filled festivities from pupils at Colour Wheel Montessori Nursery.

The little carollers entertained with their delivery of Christmas cards and high notes to warm the hearts of the residents.

They performed a string of hits and festive favourites, including ‘We Wish You a Merry Christmas’, ‘Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer’ and ‘Twinkle Twinkle Little Star’.

Brightening up the cold morning for residents with their rosy cheeks and heartfelt joyfulness, the little singers instantly put a smile on everyone’s faces.

Manager at Colour Wheel Montessori Nursery Sam Cottrill said: “Christmas should be a magical time for everyone, but some people are not lucky enough to have young children in their lives at Christmas.

“We wanted to share with others a little bit of joy and magic that children can bring at this time of year.”

Carla Pamment, tenancy co-ordinator at Eastlight Community Homes, said: “It was lovely to have the children from the nursery visit Oxley House this week.

“They warmed our hearts with some Christmas cheer and a festive sing-along.

“The snowy weather also gave us the perfect Christmassy backdrop for the children to hand-deliver personalised Christmas cards.”
